Confidently Disabled: Group Coaching Program

Develop deep self worth, accept your disability, set your accommodations, and hold healthy boundaries.

Think back to a time when you felt unheard, misunderstood, and brushed off because of your disability…

You’re sitting in the doctor’s office. They just diagnosed you, told you there was nothing they could do to help, and wished you a good rest of your life. Then they set an appointment to see you in a year's time so they can tell you the same thing.

Or, maybe you were sharing about your disability with your parents and they told you that you were making things up or “faking it”.

Or, you may have kept quiet about your disability, worried about how society would treat you or how your friends or coworkers would respond.

You’re not alone. As a disabled community, many of us have struggled to fully grasp how to navigate the world and where we belong because of our disability.

We want you to know, this isn’t your fault. And, it doesn’t have to be or feel this way forever.

You belong. You’re important. Your opinions matter. Your life matters.

Hi, I’m Charlie.

I’m blind and and damn proud to be! It wasn’t always easy for me to come out and say it though…

For years I rejected my blindness and was determined to live life as a fully sighted person. I now see that this was due to the negative perspectives society had taught me about being disabled and the “horrible” life that was in store for me…

It took me years of frustration and soul searching to get to where I am today: a place of true self love and acceptance of my blindness. Now, I spend every day of my life helping other people with disabilities to develop the same vital self love and acceptance I have developed in myself.

You can take control of your life, set big goals, and be excited about your future alongside your disability.

And, I’m going to help you get there.

Are you disabled and wondering if coaching right for you?

Have you been in therapy and feel heard, but aren’t seeing results? For some, therapy is the answer and helps you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, but isn’t necessarily based on actionable steps and forward movement.

That’s where coaching comes in. At CKV Coaching, we help you put a plan in place and consistently take action. This means that change begins to take shape immediately, moving you closer to your goals from day one.

In Confidently Disabled you’ll be learning alongside others across the disability spectrum – people who just “get it” when it comes to living with a disability. This is a rolling program with new members joining, cultivating a space for community and growth.

Your growth in this program is built on learning key concepts and practices that you can use now and for the rest of your life.

At the end of your 8 weeks in Confidently Disabled, you’ll have gained the skills and know-how to confidently navigate life with your disability and tackle ableism with self advocacy and setting healthy boundaries.

    Frederic

    Jordan

  • "My self-worth was at a low point when we met. By the time we were through, I had changed this core belief completely. Charlie helped me pinpoint places where negativity was present in my life and guided me in identifying the ways in which it manifested through my behaviors and habits."

    Dave

  • "Charlie’s coaching has helped me cultivate a sense of dignity and a clarity about my needs that I never even imagined was possible before our work together. Our work together transformed who I am, who I can be, and the blessings that I can offer to our very broken world."

    Mira

  • "After a lot of therapy, major life changes, and Charlie’s help for me to say that the following: I gained the capability to apply and get accepted into law school. I have just finished my first semester, and I am so proud to say I received all A’s, and achieved a CALI award in my Torts class."
